Green Onions
This piece has a large young African amber center and
smaller pieces behind it.
The
green amber is harder to find.
At some point years ago, the Japanese bought up huge
quantities of African amber and the prices quadrupled.
That has slowed down. Currently, the beads are made with
some kind of resin with reconstituted amber. They are
tribal beads of West and North Africa.
Each piece of amber is
joined by a bead of pietersite, a natural stone.
